A - Z Blogging Challenge: E is for Eish

A great friend of mine coined the term 'Eish' which I use almost daily in my life. I have interpreted its sound into how I think it would be written.

I find the situations to use this word best fit when you are slightly shocked about something, or worried about something.
It is a 'gasp' as such, which represents the feeling of concern, but at the same time excitement.

I challenge you to use it in everyday life...Perhaps see if it catches on...
I believe it belongs in the dictionary...if the word 'LOL' can make it in the Oxford Dictionary so can 'Eish'

It can fit well in a text or in a conversation, and really sometimes just somes up a feeling which might normally take a sentence to express...off you go...use the word EISH!

EEEEEISSHHHH

  4. Of course, it's a lot like ish, as in nine-ish. It's not easy to discern the E. So Eish might have a hard time competing with ish.

I like to try and get "old english" back into the mainstream conversation. I heard a really awesome one the other day, but now I can't remember it....darn my memory!! Oh well! Fun blog! Will pop back and see where your alphabet goes! Thanks! Have a groovy day!

  11. Great Post! I love that word. Nothing like having your own vocabulary. My daughter and I have a few words of our own too. Fuzzle: lint/hairballs and the like that cling to sweaters. Can also include dust bunnies. "Your sweater has a piece of Fuzzle on it."

Fitzie: tedious, complicated, pain in the arse. "Organizing those grains of sand is just so Fitzie."
