Moan of the day!

Just a quick one, but I am still feeling very frustrated about customer service at Tesco's, as they replace human staff with scan pack and pay.

Today was a nightmare trying to get out of the shop with bakery goods.

The people in front wanted alcohol and cigarettes. The machine can't get these are verify them.

The human still needs to come and help, so why not just put them on the counter anyway. It wastes time, and the technology doesn't improve my shopping experience one bit.

Moan of the day!

I have been for a trip to the local express shop (cough Tesco cough), and was outraged by the service and standard of the place.

Rubbish everywhere, leaking fridges and receipts just floating about.

They also had decided to cut off the queue for anyone who wanted to use a till with a normal human being, instead it was in the scan pack and pay queue. One member of staff was on the tills, one just standing around counting bits up and 2 machines. There was a queue of at least 15 people who all happened to be men.

You didn't have a choice to whether you wanted a human or machine to do the adding up. I had a full basket, and was forced to the scan pack and pay by the security guard (yes it is that bad).
I had to put all my items through individually by myself, while the person behind me in the queue got the human to serve him for just one item. Surely it would have made more sense for him to be using the scan pack and pay not me.
Even worse I had the usual message of 'unexpected item in the bagging area' which was a bag.

This wasn't making my life easier, what is wrong with a checkout person. They have to have someone to fix the problems of the machines constantly and also if you want cigarettes or alcohol it takes just as long to get verified, and you need an assistant to get them behind the counter anyway.

Rant over!

What to do at 6am?

Have been up at 6am this morning just wandering around unable to stop coughing with a dreadful sore throat.
At that time you really need to pop out and get some medicine, it just isn't not going to happen realistically unless you live next door to a Tesco superstore.
You muddle through and hope that eventually you will get back to sleep...and dream of happy things (unless you like Nightmares). However it wasn't to be...which means now I feel all day that I will be mean and irritant to people..but hey ho.. they will just have to put up with it..

Watch out everyone..the winter Flu is here..start preparing yourself with vitamins and long nigh sleeps.. stop partying and drink lots of water. Lets all stay well together.

Irritant of the day...

So I have been made to wait in for some grocery shopping, which is to be delivered by Tesco, however the order has been made by my relative.

This was the first warning sign  and secondly that they had made an environmentally friendly order, this meant they wouldn't deliver the food in bags.

So as the man arrives I have to unpack all 60 items individually on the stairs, as of course the kitchen is too far way from the door.
Don't think helping the environment paid off in this case, as they still wrapped fresh meat in bags anyway!

Rather fed up, YES I AM

When you pop into the local shop to buy some milk or bread, or even a Twix, even though you might only eat half off and put the rest in the fridge for an after dinner snack, and the shopkeeper is unresponsive.

The unresponsive shopkeeper who is on the phone whilst they serve you at the till, not acknowledging a 'Hello' of friendly sorts, but a mindless nod. Chatting away on the phone and only sometimes mustering the strength to actually say how much you owe them.

It is know wonder our local shops our disappearing and Tesco is growing, when the local services are providing a minute caring approach, I will take the drones at Tesco's who ask you how your day is!

You know who you are!
