A - Z Blogging Challenge: Z is for ZZZZZZzzzzzz

Z is for tiredness and having a kip.

This challenge has been tough yet really fun, and I am now ready for a rest.

Napping is always best when its afternoon and you nap fully on the bed and wake up feeling tired yet refreshed.

Catching some afternoon Zzzzzzzzzzzz's is always a fun activity and usually better than your overall night time sleep.

The funniest place I have napped is at school, silly to leave yourself open to attack from pens, but it sure made the day go faster!!!

A - Z Blogging Challenge: X is for 'Xhausted

I was really cream crackered the other day when I went on a mad cleaning spree. I 'Xhaused myself out from going at it like a crazy OCD robot. I cleaned and I cleaned once more.

I did this because I really happy and I like to have a clean when I am happy, and when there is nothing in the back of your head to have time to enjoy  the simple things like cleaning.

I hoovered most of the rooms in my flat, tidied, dusted and made everything look right in perfect right angles, except the circular table which really annoyed me as well as being made out of glass which shows the dirt clearly.

Similarly I found myself scrubbing the kitchen floors until I was ready to drop off to sleep. I was on my hands and knees scrubbing like Cinderella, except for fun as nobody forced me too.

I only managed to half the floor in an hour as it was that dirty, I made the cream floor, change from browny-grey to cream again, and that was a sense of achievement, which does sound odd I know.

This moaning could be construed as negative, but this makes me happy!

A - Z Blogging Challenge: Q is for Quick Moan

A QUICK MOAN FOR YOU ALL

It seems that at this time of the year our attentions turn towards the summer weather and everyone seems to be loving it.

With glorious sunshine and rays of light beaming through the days sky, the whole of the UK just seems that bit happier especially with the impending thousands of bank holidays approaching.

However I am cynical and do not trust this sunshine. With the sunshine basking over us for so many days we are bound to be disappointed and distraught when it finally goes away.

Are hopes will be shattered and destroyed, but it is a small price to pay maybe for a few exciting days of ice cream and sun-glasses wearing.

So be careful guys, don't let that sun take it all away!!

Random I know.

A - Z Blogging Challenge: I is for Idiots

Today I bring you the behaviours and actions that just makes someone an idiot. Perhaps I have biased views and negative stereotypes of people, but hey, feel free to enjoy these moans in which you can ponder over and reflect on.

The actions, behaviours and stupidity of an idiot

  1. Walking into a glass door, worse than running into one, at least these people didn't have the chance to make a quick decision to stop. If you walk into one, that is just idiotic.
  2. Spitting in the street. This shows what an idiot you are, have some self-respect
  3. Swearing more than 3 times in every sentence
  4. People who think the moon is a planet
  5. People who don't know how to mix colours to create new ones
  6. Why can't some people know the alphabet without singing it
  7. People who think Africa is one country
  8. That the President of the United States rules over both South and North America
  9. Crossing the road and making a car stop for you, don't cry to me when your in the hospital
  10. Missing out the letter 'g' on the end of words leaving it as Bangin or Livin, even worse when you use an apostrophe at the end, why not just put in the 'g'
  11. Begging people for cigarettes and lighters in the street, either get your own or quit, and don't look so disappointed when the person you ask doesn't smoke.
  12. Asking kids to go in the shop and buy you alcohol, are you that desperate middle aged homeless man.
  13. Stopping quickly on a busy path
  14. Punching someone repeatedly because its their birthday
  15. Forgetting your shirt on a hot day, take one with you at least for when you go into a shop or somewhere not outside

A - Z Blogging Challenge: H is for Hijacked Moaner

Hijacked moaner

Alright. Before you start to picture Adam saying these things (for those of you who know him (although if you don't know him and still read this blog, I like to imagine you have an image of him in your head)) well STOP right now. This ain't Adam. My name is Charlie, and I have hijacked his blog today. I'm reliably informed by intense bloggers, I of whom am not one, that today I must moan about things that begin with the letter H. So I will tell you 5 things that annoy me, beginning with the letter H.

H - To start with, the letter himself. Now you're probably there thinking "Oi you judgemental bloggin' virgin, what has poor little letter H done to you? Sure he may not have the hard hitting presence of the K's or P's of the world, but this little fella has heart. In fact, he begins "heart". Woah woah woah I cry. Calm done, hear me out. I don't dislike the letter for his soft sounds. It's the ambiguity of his pronunciation. Is it "aich" or "haich". I was personally raised on "aich". I disregard the argument that it should sound phonetically as the letter it is being named after. F isn't "Fef" Y isn't "Yi" W isn't "woubleyou" etc etc.

Herpes - I don't need to explain this one. Show me a person who like herpes and I'll call the social services.

Hampers - They always disappoint me. I feel I like the majority of food (he said as he tucked into a slice of bacon wrapped round a breadstick) but people fill these exciting food experiences with all sorts of boobah such as ginger parkin, almond loaf and chocolate limes. Shut up and bring me some cake.

Hints - People are useless at giving hints. They're either less subtle than if Where's Wally stood in the Sahara desert or ridiculously cryptic. I want something in between "He's hiding behind the sofa" and "The sun does rise, the moon does shine, a healthy fox and a crispy line"

Hubris - I had to think twice about this being my final choice, as it's such a funny word. But by golly does a hubris filled gentle folk get on my shoulder like the metaphorical monkey. Learn to share.

The likelihood is that you are staring at this screen blanker than a blanket, thinking "what on earth is this fella raving about?" Don't feel guilty, I'm used to it. And don't worry, Adam will be back tomorrow

A - Z Blogging Challenge: D is for Day to Day

Bringing back the popular moan of the day post series, today in the A-Z blogging challenge I will be sharing with you the day-to-day behaviours that just damn out right annoy me.

Day-to-day the more times the same annoying event or behaviour happens the more frustrating it becomes, and I become more dangerously wound up.

Annoying habits on the street/path/sidewalk
  1. People walking so slowly you thing you might fall over
  2. People spitting in the street and have no shame
  3. People walking in large groups in a row and you can't get past them without going in the road
  4. People who look like they are talking to themselves, but then turn out to be on bluetooth.

Party behaviours that just frustrate
  1. Not bringing out the buffet early enough
  2. Making unnecessary mess, and not putting items in the bin
  3. Not hearing the name of someone and accidentally bump into them all night
  4. People who just don't get the hint to leave

Restaurants/Going out for dinner
  1. Unfriendly staff who expect tips at the end of the meal
  2. Cold food that was clearly microwaved
  3. People who will only pay exactly what they ate and drank on the bill
  4. People who leave perfectly good food because they feel like a pudding

Meeting new people
  1. Pretending to care, knowing you will never see them again
  2. Pretending to be in a good job and having a direction in your life other than sitting down
  3. Hearing their life stories about unknown people, yet they are using their names
  4. Handshaking or kissing someone you don't know, have they even showered...

Moan of the day - Barry the Pigeon and I

The title of this post makes me laugh, anything with the word pigeon in it is bound to make me laugh, it is such an odd word, representing one of the oddest creatures.

Yes Pigeons are a little crazy at times, but the other day I had one of the funniest moments in my life, and yes it was with a pigeon.

Regular readers may know about my fear of birds, however this bird I met on the pavement recently wasn't scary but humourous and entertaining.

We have all been in the situation on a path when a yourself and another person try to walk past each other, except you both go to go the same way. Then you both head the other direction blocking each other.
Yes it is a confusing stepping process before someone stops and you can both pass usually laughing or apologising for getting in the way.

This is the situation I had with the pigeon, who I have now named Barry.

We were on a path, when we came head to bobbing head (Barry the pigeon is the bobbing head not me), this pigeon did go to fly off or move out my way, just instead stood his ground.

I went to go left and so did he, i went right, and he went right. This step repeated a few times, before we waddled out the way.

This situation involving Barry the pigeon  was very humanising. It gave human character to this bird, and I wondered whether perhaps he had done this before.

He seemed to get the path passing process, and almost apologised on his exit. The personification of the bird was extremely funny and entertained me for a few short moments!

I hope you meet a funny bird to make you laugh soon, I for one hope Barry is well.

Moan of the day!

Annoying funny people is todays topic.

Today I was with a friend when we saw a man holding a bike sitting down by the curb.

He looked a little estranged, and then we noticed his leg was gushing with blood, well bleeding mildly.
I must be a horrible person as I immediately wanted to laugh out loud, as he looked so depressed and that cheered me up (was feeling a bit mean today).

He looked a little lost, clearly his leg had stopped him to be able to pedal on, and get back on that horse (well bike).

We popped to the shop to get some food, and then saw him again.

We had moved about 300m, but this time was sat on the floor almost in tears.

Everyone was walking past seeing this man with a bloody leg and wincing face.

However in this day and age, if someone needed your help surely they would say, I thought about asking if he was ok, but everyone has a mobile, so maybe he just tried to keep going and make the most of his pain.

Perhaps I was a little harsh when writing this, but he looked so sorry for himself with his push bike and a bloody knee.

Moan of the day!

Moan of the day is ME! I have failed to post daily writing as I did so consistently in January
I would just like to apologise to my all my regular readers who may have noticed I have posted less moans and irritants of the day recently.
I have found myself very busy recently with essay writing and have found it hard to do some decent writing for you.
It also seems with my constant work that I can only moan about essay writing, which could get boring after a while.
So therefore I am waiting for something really interesting to happen, and get my writing back up to scratch again.

Any who

Tip of the day
Don't have a massive chocolate smoothie straight after dinner, you may feel sickly all evening.

Funny moment of the day
I walked through a door in the library, but I stopped to say hello to someone I knew and the door came flying back and hit me from behind.

Irritant of the day
Shopping for ice cream at the time everyone finished work. It was bedlam, too much queuing for one item

Moan of the day!

Well thought I would be stuck in all day with a stinking cold and headache, going through tissues at a fast rate as if they were pringles.
However the day was well and me and my friends got to the park for 4 hours to run around and play.

Yes at almost 21 years old I shouldn't have been so excited, but sandwiches wrapped in foil, football and Frisbee is hard to turn down.

I have been out for fresh air and feeling good, after seeing some grazing sheep and happy families.

We played in the woods and enjoyed some Poo Sticks!

Kicking the ball about and having a good walk in the sun is something that made the day good, despite the feeling of being bunged up.

Moan of the day

Getting showered and ready for the day, but only being out for 30minutes or so. Ever feel you could just go without and slump around all day.
Slumping around and not getting ready for the day is the most relaxing thing, and pulling yourself out of the bed is also a rather tricky task to conduct.

My words of the day
Ching - hearing this word in the shop made me laugh, who says that at a till

Tip of the day
Don't put your drink by the side of the table, it will fall off when you put your feet up

Fact of the day
"Almost" is the longest commonly used word in the English language with all the letters in alphabetical order.

Travel: Train Habits

I have an issue on a train when I am sat in the window seat all comfy and snuggled and someone comes and sits next to me. Suddenly I am squashed and aware of by belongings, their body odour, and all their awful habits.

From sniffling and coughing, to shaky knees people know how to make me grip my teeth together and pretend to be a nice person.

I find the situation much worse, when you have had the whole journey to yourself and then one stop before you are due to get off someone sits down next too.

From relaxation to stress. You need to allow time for the fat person next to you to get out of their chair and into the aisle so you can get off the train before it leaves the situation.

Sometimes this person is asleep or unaware you are trying to get up and off the train.

Similarly an issues arises with people who love to read massive broadsheet newspapers on the train, they get right on my side of the double seat.

That is all folks!

These seats look a tad more private and spacious

Moan of the day: Ignorance

It seems some people are ignorant of others beliefs, lifestyles and judgement.

Why is it hard for some people to accept what the rest of us deem as acceptable and non-threatening in society.
This ignorance comes from lack of understanding and morals which don't embrace and welcome new concepts.

It is easy to blame this on someones upbringing and their socialisation, but at the core, we find someone who is bigoted and unwilling to see beyond themselves.

Do we have the right to change these people or should everyone be able to express bigoted views as a part of free speech...?

Dog attack in the dark

Yesterday I was driven by friends to a party, but the journey wasn't that simple and as easy as it sounds, and boy did it make our night a whole load of crazy.

We were using the satnav ('tom tom') to find the party in question, but we missed a turn due to loud music and poor satnav following. The satnav re-routed our journey to get back on track.

It pulled us off the main road, and down on to a side road. It  wasn't tarmacked or well lit and we started to question if this was a road at all.

We traveled down it and came to some houses, and I suggested we were perhaps nearby a farm as it seemed to be surrounded by fields and off road mud.

We were still following the satnav for another 30 seconds or so when we reached a closed gate. We soon realised the satnav had found us any old road to re-route us and to no longer trust it after potholes and mud.

Turning around and heading back down the road we came we heard sudden barking. It was loud and out of nowhere a dog ran towards the car. At first we were worried we would run it over as it wouldn't move and kept heading for the car. We went slightly slower whilst being thrown around by the pothole.

The dog was chasing us and kept hitting itself on the side of the car, bashing into us on purpose. We turned the corner of this off road mud floor and another dog launched an attack on the car, running into the main body and howling/barking at us.

These farm dogs were scary and clearly trying to protect the farm, and kill anyone in the way.
It was like a pre-planned attack setup my a dog guarding agency.

They did not let up at all, and chased us all the way back to the road, one of the girls in the car was holding the door closed, worried we would be attacked, despite it being shut properly.

We laughed and we screamed, but it was one odd journey we won;t forget for awhile.

Beware of farm dogs from now on!

Burned: Moan of the day!

I think I hit a bit of bad luck today, nothing seemed to go right. You can call it a bad omen, or just clumsiness and I wonder if it occurred when I walked on three drains in a row.

I was set on having some sweet and sour chicken this evening, but what a sour evening it turned out to be. I had been cooking away and washing up as I went along, and you could say I was indeed as happy as Larry for a while.

But disaster struck.

I somehow managed to catch my finger on the side of the boiling saucepan; and this wasn't the real problem. After catching my finger, I jumped out my skin as you do when you touch something hot...

In the other hand I was stirring the sweet and sour sauce, and when I jumped so did the stirring spoon, boiling hot sauce flicked across on to the floor but also up my sleeveless arm. I shrieked with pain as the boiling ho sauce landed on several parts of my arms.

I ran to the tap in the kitchen to try and get the sauce off and stop the unbearable pain, but from my washing up the water has boiling hot there also. I had to wait for this water to cool down, and then I stuck my arm under there. It was one of the worst pains I have ever felt in my life, as I have never broken anything, the worst being stubbing my toes up until tonight.

I think it may scar or blister, but I had water and creams on it all night.

However it didn't end there...later on I was microwaving some custard when it all exploding in the microwave. It all poured out the top, going all over the microwave that I just cleaned 2 days ago. Another boiling disaster in the same night. I spent the night worrying what I might to next.

Oh the pain of this bad luck...perhaps tomorrow will treat me well, hope I don't catch my burn on the duvet covers too harshly this evening.

Moan of the day!

Just a quick one, but I am still feeling very frustrated about customer service at Tesco's, as they replace human staff with scan pack and pay.

Today was a nightmare trying to get out of the shop with bakery goods.

The people in front wanted alcohol and cigarettes. The machine can't get these are verify them.

The human still needs to come and help, so why not just put them on the counter anyway. It wastes time, and the technology doesn't improve my shopping experience one bit.

Moan of the day!

Last night/early hours of the morning I went downstairs into the underground car park to take the rubbish out. It had piled up and started to smell, and it needed to go whilst it was on my mind.

As I was walking to the bin store I saw that the garage door had been taken down, meaning anyone and everyone can just wander into our flat complex.

I walked into the bin store and swung my bags into the bins as you do.
I turned around and in the corner was a man just standing there.  He looked strange at a glance, probably in his 30's.

He was rummaging through the bins it seemed.

I don't no whether he was looking for food or bank statements but all I know is that this was odd.

I needed to get out quick, before this tramp went psycho. He said 'Aite?' as you do these days, I said 'Hi' and left.

He kept rummaging I guess, I hope he found a decent meal, but it certainly was an odd experience.
I am sure that until the door is fixed we can expect a load of random city tramps in our flat complex...Joyous.

It looked nothing like this, but hey...you get the idea

Irritant of the day!

Was expecting some nice coursework back today and didn't arrive.

I rolled up to the office to collect it, confidently whilst remembering the module code and it wasn't there for go sakes.

I guess I will be waiting a long time for it to arrive back to me now, considering the tutor said it would be back over a week ago.

Perhaps I am a tad impatient, but it is my thirdly year of University and temperatures are rising all over the place in one massive panic stricken class.

Why do you taunt us and keep us waiting like animals in the zoo waiting for feeding time.
Why O why.

From now on I will only have 6 hours of Uni per week, due to independent study, I feel sorry for those students who will be paying higher tuition fees for 6 hours a week.

On brighter notes, I have the day off tomorrow so that will be fantastic
